Conflict Resolution in a Group Pt 2

After the initial document was sent to the person, I held a two hour meeting with them to discuss the matter.

They were a bit glum, as you might understand, but they were receptive to the issues at hand. The discussion involved some questions from them about specific incidents to receive clarification on why and where some of the issues raised had come from, along with questions on exactly what/how things could be done in attempt to resolve these issues.

I think taking this step was very good for them. They mentioned that they had felt there was some kind of negative activity but they weren't entirely sure, and while it hurt for this to happen, it is better to have the intervention occur rather than to have everyone suddenly break off friendships and relationships.

At the present, I am waiting for a responding document to be written by the person that I can pass on back to the group, and I have asked the group members already to be more supportive since he seems genuinely wishing to change some things about himself.

The ball is in his court and we will just have to wait for the moment.
